Mérida (MX-YUC), 2009-07-20. The 40^th International Physic Olympiad was held in Mérida (Yucatán, United Mexican States - Mexico) from 2009-07-12 to 2009-07-20. A total of 316 contestants took part in the competition. The team from Serbia was as follows:

• (contestant SRB_S04) Aleksandar Vasiljković (Mathematical High School, Belgrade)
• (contestant SRB_S05) Aleksandra Dimić (Mathematical High School, Belgrade)

The results were:

Excellent performance of the contestants (first round) was supported by moderation of the team leaders. This is one of the best performance at Physics Olympiads of the contestants from Serbia.
