Holography

Our research activities in this area include: holographic interferometry, materials for hologram recording, hologram copying and holographic stereograms. Our additional website(lang=sr) dedicated to holography is available.

Holographic interferometry. The objective of this work is to use holographic interferometry in order to determine the dimensional changes in tooth, produced by light-induced polymerization of dental composite filling. The method of holographic interferometry enables the determination of total strain on any point of the tooth surface.

Materials for hologram recording. We research the possibilities of improving the holographic properties, special sensitivity of dichromated gelatin (DCG) in the green part of the spectrum. New holographic recording materials are also investigated. Our discovery is that pullulan (polysaccharide polymer of linear structure), sensitized with ammonium dichromate (DCP) has good holographic properties.

Hologram copying. We have optimized the process of embossing the tool production, by direct copying of holographic surface relief grating into a layer of a dental composite. Resulting copy is an almost exact replica of the original grating (with respect to relief depth, profile and spatial frequency). Our investigation includes copying of diffraction gratings and holograms by using hot embossing.

Holographic stereograms. Our preliminary activities include artistic applications of holography.
